![]() When the scene sets and you know the clear intent of what is being relayed to you (found more so in the more philosophical and dramatic parts of the movie), you do get a reasonable and thoughtful section to consume and reflect upon. Mike, his PTSD, and his journeys all mix very well with each other when called for. The story is actually something enjoyable and a little unique. However, the saving grace pulled a miracle and a half, balancing the tragic execution. As the aforementioned stated, the dialogue is amateur, in addition to the unenthusiastic animation, disheartened delivery of every line and the somewhat haphazard jumps to suggest this was some kind of Disney musical on every occasion. I suppose the times in both cases were initially very late anyway, but I will leave it to you to decide how my case reflects your style. I felt the need to sleep the first time I tried to watch this, the second time was close, but I managed to prevail. The plot is inherently entrancing, but the execution is mostly unengaging. Nonetheless… there's something in Penguin's Memory that makes it worth the while anyway in my case, even worth the praise a lot would be unwilling to give. but this is not passing your innate detection ability to understand something is off. Please realize that a 7 is given to something I enjoyed from start to finish, and is by no means a low score. Throughout watching, you'll realize Mike never once truly smiles until the final moments of the film. From this point forward, He just wanted to live a peaceful quiet life. As Mike arrives home, he's greeted as a hero and is bombarded with questions ~ "What tactics did the enemy use? how many did ya kill? c'mon tell us your war stories." It seemed that nobody really understood the suffering that Mike had gone through. from the brutality of war as well as losing both of his closest war buddies. Our main penguin Mike has recently gone through a living-hell It's just something from that time that's so interesting. ![]() The visuals and SFX, maybe not for everyone, but for me, I showed a real interest in them. The dialogue feels real and natural, and the main characters have a true sense of depth to them. ![]() If you're expecting penguins doing backflips and 360 no-scopes in the battlefield, you may be disappointed, as this story follows Mike's life after the war. "Even though the whole world knows it's foolish, we've gone to war again and again." -Jackģ7 years ago, Mike's story was released.
